Let's start at the beginning. I'm Stuart Caie, also known as Kyzer (geeeeek). I live in Edinburgh, Scotland, where I work as a software engineer. I have a BSC Hons in Computer Science from Aberdeen University.
If you'd like to see some pictures I've taken, visit my Flickr page.
I'm a big fan of architecture, especially castles and churches. Edinburgh and the Lothians are not in short supply of any. One of the most beautiful ruined castles is Slains Castle in Aberdeenshire.
My musical tastes are generally for pop, folk, dance, electronica, jazz, bebop and bossa nova, by artists such as Röyksopp, Dizzy Gillespie, Mike Oldfield, Simon and Garfunkel, Groove Armada, Sasha, John Digweed, Mr Scruff, Yonderboi and so on. I love the compilations put out by Gilles Peterson; the man has his finger on the pulse, and without him I don't think I'd be such a fan of latin music as I am today.
I like all sorts of computer and video games, especially rhythm games, or old platformers. One of my favourites is Turrican II (did you notice the maps?), but I also have high regards for modern games like Um Jammer Lammy, the Final Fantasy series, Katamari Damacy and, recently, Okami. Oh, and ICO (and its prequel, Shadow of the Colossus) are beautiful. I like them for the same reason I like ruined castles. These games show a world where old human settlements have been left to the elemental forces of nature.
I have a variety of computers. They run either AmigaOS, Mac OS X or Linux.
